BUSINESS BACKGROUND
Namibia Networking Technologies (NNT)

Namibia Networking Technologies (NNT) is due registered close corporation, with Mr. Joachime Ashley Kays as a sole shareholder, thus the Managing Director.

Namibia Networking Technologies cc will be a vibrant economic and technological centre of excellence, which would provide a wide range of Microsoft certified products and services to the Namibian population as a way to increase economic competitiveness.

The company was established in 2001. As a company owned by Namibians with extensive experience in Information Technology, NNT adheres to the principals and values of commitment, diligence, effectiveness and efficiency.

As a black empowerment company, we endeavour to develop and sustain the information technology schemes of micro, medium and macro business enterprises, for the mutual benefit of both the provider and recipient of products and services in the Namibian economy.

The impact of Internet on global commerce is now a fairly well documented fact, with Internet playing ever increasing role in the process of globalization. Countries are making deliberate efforts to invest in communications and related infrastructure to ensure that their economies remain competitive in the global market place.

It is this development or movement, towards wider information technology application, which has led the Namibia Networking Technologies to embark upon this ambitious project to have a significant role in increasing information technology application in the day to day life of the Namibian society.

From the cash flow projections, it is clear that the business venture is profitable, and that it is able to generate sufficient cash to ensure that its current obligations are met with reasonable ease and, that there is potential to generate reserves for further development.

Through our projections, we have tried to make use of product life cycle theory to explain how the business would grow over time. We have also tried to keep our assumption as modest as possible, e.g. we have excluded the impact of business entities on our cash flow, which can only be positive. It must be noted that the financial projections are based on the assumption that a grace period of one year would be allowed, thus, giving the business breathing space for it starts to repay the loan. This is mainly for the deployment of the infrastructure, which would take some time before its is optimally applied in a real business environment.
